Wealth when spoken of in America is usually associated with European power or faces & so the richest African man in the world is not even a whisper in the black communities. Aliko Dangote is stated to be worth well over $12 Billion dollars. He accumulated his wealth through a variety of businesses including cement manufacturing & sugar refineries. His great grandfather Alhassan Dantata who died in 1955 was also at that time the richest African in the world. Surprisingly, neither of the two are mentioned when discussions of wealth & power are spoken of in entrepreneur circles of dreamers who glorify the money makers of the world.
